Description
The Collet 23mm ER40 is a precision ER40 spring collet that clamps tool shanks from 23 mm down to 22 mm. It is made from 65Mn alloy spring steel, fully hardened for durability, and manufactured to 0.015 mm accuracy for tight tolerances, low run-out and consistent machining results.
How ER collets work
An ER collet is a slotted sleeve that closes evenly around the tool shank when the collet nut is tightened, gripping the full length of the bore for a secure, concentric hold. Each collet covers a small clamping range, so choose the collet that matches your shank: a 23 mm end mill or router bit needs a 23 mm collet. ER40 collets only fit ER40 nuts and collet chucks.
