Description
The Nexcut TCT Split Scoring Saw Blade – 120 × 22mm – 12 + 12T (Wood) is a 120 mm TCT split (two-piece) scoring blade, which lets the scoring width be adjusted to match the main blade’s kerf. It makes a shallow pre-cut in the underside of the board just ahead of the main blade, so laminated, melamine-faced and veneered panels come off the saw without chipped bottom edges.
Choosing the right scoring saw blade
On a panel or beam saw the main blade exits through the underside of the board, which is where chipping happens on coated panels. A scoring blade runs in the opposite direction and scores the bottom surface first, so the main blade leaves a clean, chip-free edge. For best results, match the scoring width to the main blade’s kerf.
