Description
The Zycron APMT Milling Insert is a positive parallelogram insert with two cutting edges in Zycron GCT 217 carbide grade for shoulder milling, slotting, ramping and face milling. It is suited to steel, stainless steel and cast iron on CNC machining centres and milling machines. APMT 1135 fits our BAP300R indexable end mills; APMT 1604 fits the BAP400R range.
Why indexable milling?
When an edge wears you simply index the insert to a fresh edge or replace it, instead of regrinding a solid cutter. This keeps tool cost and downtime low on larger cutters.
