Description
The Helixor HX45 R5 (10mm) Ballnose Carbide End Mill is a 2-flute ballnose solid carbide end mill for precision 3D contour machining and finishing. Its spherical cutting tip makes it ideal for contour milling, surface profiling and copy milling, particularly in mould and die work. It is made from wear-resistant sub-micron tungsten carbide, and the coating adds heat resistance and wear protection for longer tool life.

A ballnose end mill has a full-radius tip, so it can follow curved and sculpted surfaces without leaving the sharp steps a square end mill would. Using a small step-over between passes gives a smooth 3D finish that needs little or no polishing.
