Description
The Zycron WNMG Turning Insert is an indexable carbide WNMG turning insert in Zycron GCT 217 grade for general turning, facing and semi-roughing on CNC and conventional lathes. It is used in steel, stainless steel and cast iron, and fits MWLNR external holders and MWLNR/MWLNL boring bars.
Why choose a WNMG insert?
The trigon shape gives six 80° cutting corners per insert, so you get the strength of an 80° corner with more edges than a CNMG.
Reading the ISO code
W = 80° trigon (W) shape, N = negative 0° (N) clearance, M = M-class tolerance, G = double-sided with chipbreakers on both faces (G). The numbers that follow give the cutting edge length, thickness and corner radius, so match them to the pocket of your holder.
